Mind Body Music was founded by Andrea Cortez, MM, MT-BC who is a board certified Music Therapist, sound artist and sound meditation instructor. Andrea completed her Master's degree in music therapy from Colorado State University with an emphasis in Neurologic Music Therapy. She was educated in the effects of music on the brain and body and methods of using music to help people rehabilitate from brain injury and neurologic disorders.

Mind Body Music’s mission increases awareness of music’s healing properties through music therapy and indigenous traditions of medicine, spreading peace with music. They are located in Austin, TX.
